**Vijayawada, February 13, 2025** – Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu has allayed public concerns regarding the recent bird flu outbreak, assuring citizens that the situation is improving significantly. Following a review meeting chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Minister addressed a press conference today, debunking social media rumors of over 4 million chicken deaths. He clarified that while the state has a poultry population exceeding 100 million, only 542,000 birds have perished due to the virus.

The government, the Minister stated, is taking all necessary precautions, including the disposal of eggs from affected poultry farms and the closure of shops within a 10-kilometer radius of infected areas. He attributed the outbreak to lower temperatures and poor sanitation in some poultry farms. Mr. Atchannaidu reassured the public that the disease is expected to subside as temperatures rise, urging citizens not to panic.
