Wed Feb 12 14:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Pakistani Fielding Star Agha Takes Stunning Catch in Tri-Series Thriller
**Karachi, Pakistan –** Salman Ali Agha’s breathtaking athleticism stole the show during Pakistan’s crucial Tri-Series ODI match against South Africa at the National Stadium in Karachi on February 12th. Agha’s two spectacular catches, one of which was described as one of his best, were pivotal moments in a high-scoring encounter.
His highlight-reel grab dismissed South African batsman Matthew Breetzke in the 39th over. Breetzke, who had contributed a solid 83 runs, attempted a drive, but Agha reacted with incredible speed, leaping and taking a stunning one-handed catch. Earlier, Agha had equally impressed with another diving catch to remove Tony de Zorzi in the 8th over, ending a 51-run opening partnership.
South Africa, batting first, posted a challenging 352/5 thanks to strong performances from Temba Bavuma (82), Breetzke (83), and Heinrich Klaasen’s explosive 87 off 56 balls. Pakistan’s bowlers struggled to contain the South African onslaught, with only Shaheen Afridi (2/66), Khushdil Shah (1/39), and Naseem Shah (1/68) managing breakthroughs.
Pakistan now faces the daunting task of chasing 353 runs to secure a place in the Tri-Series final against New Zealand. Agha’s exceptional fielding, however, provided a much-needed highlight for the home side in what proved to be a thrilling match.
