Wed Feb 12 10:23:52 UTC 2025: ## YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia Faces Backlash, Police Action After “India’s Got Talent” Controversy
**Mumbai, India** – A major controversy surrounding YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia and his appearance on the reality show “India’s Got Talent” has led to police investigations and the cancellation of related events. Allahbadia’s comments about the parents of a fellow contestant sparked outrage, resulting in a flurry of legal action.
The Maharashtra Cyber Police have filed an FIR against 30 individuals, including Allahbadia, fellow contestant Samay Raina, and Balraj Ghai, for allegedly making obscene comments during the show. Summons have been issued to all those involved in episodes 1-6.
Apuorva Makhija, another participant, has already recorded her statement with the Khar police station in Mumbai. Raina, currently out of the country, is expected to return on March 17th and has requested an extension to appear before the investigating officer. His lawyer submitted travel documents and show schedules to the Cyber Cell. Ashish Chanchlani has also given his statement to the Mumbai police. Allahbadia is expected to record his statement soon.
Actor Raza Murad condemned Allahbadia’s comments, criticizing the use of obscenity for cheap popularity and highlighting the lack of accountability for such behavior in the past. He cited examples of established comedians who never resorted to such language.
The incident, which occurred during a November 14th taping and subsequently went viral, has also resulted in the cancellation of a scheduled Ahmedabad show featuring Raina. The show, organized by a Surat-based event company, was to be held on April 19th and 20th. Ticket sales have been halted across multiple cities by BookMyShow. The Khar police are continuing their investigation, while the Maharashtra Cyber Cell’s FIR remains a significant development in the ongoing case.
