**Mumbai, February 12, 2025** – The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has registered a case against YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia and approximately 30-40 others associated with the YouTube show “India’s Got Latent.” The charges stem from a controversial episode that sparked widespread online outrage.
According to the Cyber Cell, the case encompasses everyone involved in the show’s production and broadcast, from the first to the sixth episode. Notices are being issued, and all those named will be required to provide statements.
Inspector Abhijeet Sonawane of the nodal cyber police station stated that the show consistently used obscene language, expressions, and actions, allegedly intending to disrespect women’s modesty. Furthermore, the creators and contributors are accused of deliberately insulting religious beliefs and disrupting public peace, particularly in Arunachal Pradesh.
The National Commission for Women (NCW) has also summoned Allahbadia and others involved for questioning regarding the controversial remarks. The investigation is ongoing.
