**NEW YORK, NY (ABC7NY)** – A winter storm brought significant snowfall to the New York metropolitan area on Tuesday night, February 11-12, 2025, with the heaviest accumulations reported in South Jersey. While Central Park in Manhattan recorded a relatively modest 1.4 inches, parts of South Jersey saw over six inches of snow.

The National Weather Service reported snowfall totals exceeding expectations in several southern New Jersey towns. Galloway Township received 8.0 inches, while Atlantic City and nearby areas saw between 6.2 and 7.6 inches. Other hard-hit areas in South Jersey included Cape May County, with 7.8 inches reported near Cape May, and Ocean County, reporting up to 5.8 inches in Brick.

Snowfall totals were significantly lower in other parts of the region. Middlesex, Monmouth, and other counties in central and northern New Jersey recorded between 1.3 and 4.3 inches. Snow accumulations in New York City ranged from 0.9 inches in Nassau County to 1.5 inches at JFK Airport.
