Mon Feb 10 11:50:18 UTC 2025: ## Tamil Nadu Farmers Receive ₹369 Crore in Paddy Sales Proceeds
**Tiruvarur, Tamil Nadu – February 10, 2025** – The Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation (TNCSC) has disbursed ₹369 crore to 41,349 farmers in Tiruvarur district for their paddy sales during the current samba season. This follows the procurement of 187,390 tonnes of paddy (1,34,257 tonnes of fine grade and 53,133 tonnes of coarse grade) from 536 direct purchase centers across the district. The payments were made via online fund transfers.
The TNCSC reports a significant increase in paddy procurement this season, exceeding last year’s figures by 82,970 tonnes. A portion of the procured paddy (59,000 tonnes) has been transferred to other TNCSC zones, while 12,000 tonnes went to rice mills and 31,000 tonnes to godowns.
