**Bengaluru, February 9, 2025** – A man has been arrested by the Yelahanka New Town police for allegedly stalking and threatening a married woman after she rejected his marriage proposal. Usman Pasha, the accused, befriended the victim, a shop owner, under the guise of a customer. He obtained her phone number and subsequently bombarded her with marriage proposals despite her rejections and pleas to cease contact. Pasha’s harassment escalated to include threats against the woman’s husband and mother.
Forced to relocate to avoid the accused, the victim and her husband moved in with her grandmother, but Pasha continued his harassment, even defacing their new home with graffiti. Following a formal complaint, police registered a case against Pasha for criminal intimidation and harassment. The investigation is ongoing.
