**Loveland, CO** – Governor Jared Polis joined the festive atmosphere in Loveland, Colorado, today, participating in the city’s 79th annual Valentine’s Day card stamping event. The “Sweetheart City” received nearly 100,000 Valentine’s Day cards from across the US and 110 countries this year, making Loveland’s re-mailing program the largest of its kind.
Governor Polis helped hand-stamp the cards with the 2025 collector’s stamp, featuring artwork by Corry McDowell and a verse by Jeanne Perrine celebrating love. He stated, “In our Colorado For All, everyone can celebrate Valentine’s Day with their loved ones. Today, in LOVEland, I joined the beloved 79-year tradition… to help celebrate an even more special Valentine’s Day.”
The Loveland Valentine’s Re-Mailing event has been a cherished tradition since 1946, providing a unique way for people worldwide to express their affection. Coloradans and others can still participate; pre-stamped and pre-addressed Valentine’s Day cards should be mailed to the Loveland Post Office by February 10th, 2025. Additional drop-off locations are available.
