**Erode, February 3, 2025** – A 55-year-old English teacher at a Government Higher Secondary School in Bhavanisagar has been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a student. Police reports indicate that Dhandapani, the accused, lured the victim with chocolates before committing the crime. The girl subsequently informed her parents, who contacted Childline 1098. Following a police complaint and investigation, Dhandapani was arrested under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. He was remanded in custody after appearing before a court in Gobichettipalayam.
