**Prayagraj, [Date]:** The ongoing Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj has witnessed a record-breaking number of devotees taking a holy dip in the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers. As of Monday morning, the total number of bathers has surpassed 35 crore (350 million), with 6.225 million taking the dip on Monday alone, marking the culmination of the Basant Panchami auspicious bathing day.

Authorities anticipate that with 23 days remaining in the Kumbh Mela, the final number of bathers could exceed 50 crore. The most significant number of bathers was recorded on Mauni Amavasya, with approximately 8 crore devotees participating. Other peak days included Makar Sankranti (3.5 crore) and Poush Purnima (1.7 crore). Millions more participated on January 30th and February 1st.
