**MUMBAI, INDIA –** Ola Electric Mobility Ltd. sent ripples through the Indian EV market today with the launch of its Gen 3 electric scooter range. The new lineup, featuring the S1 Pro, S1 Pro+, S1 X, and S1 X+, boasts significant upgrades in battery capacity, range, and technology.

The flagship S1 Pro+ boasts a remarkable claimed range of 320 km and a top speed of 141 kph, powered by a 5.3 kWh battery (4 kWh option also available). All models utilize Ola’s new MoveOS 5 operating system and feature a patented ‘Brake by Wire’ technology, promising a 15% increase in range and double the brake pad lifespan through energy regeneration during braking. A key technological shift is the adoption of a mid-drive motor and integrated Motor Control Unit (MCU), replacing the previous hub motor design, resulting in claimed five times greater efficiency. The new scooters also utilize a chain drive system for increased durability compared to previous belt drive models.

Pricing starts at ₹79,999 for the entry-level S1 X (2 kWh battery), rising to ₹169,999 for the top-spec S1 Pro+. The company also announced price reductions for its Gen 2 scooters.

Ola Electric CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, also highlighted the company’s expansion, announcing 4,000 service centers across India and a claimed 25% market share in the country. Deliveries for the Gen 3 scooters are slated to begin in mid-February. Furthermore, Ola teased the upcoming launch of its Ola Roadster X motorcycle on February 5th. The announcement sent Ola Electric Mobility Ltd’s shares soaring on the Bombay Stock Exchange, closing the morning up over 12%.
