**MUMBAI, INDIA –** Ola Electric, the leading electric two-wheeler maker in India, launched its new Gen 3 series of scooters on January 31st. The range boasts significant improvements over its predecessor, including increased power, range, and safety features. Prices start at ₹79,999 for the entry-level S1 X (2kWh) and go up to ₹1,69,999 for the flagship S1 Pro+ (5.3kWh).

The Gen 3 platform incorporates a mid-drive motor, chain drive, and an integrated Motor Control Unit (MCU) for optimized performance and efficiency. A key feature is the inclusion of dual ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and Ola’s patented brake-by-wire technology, enhancing energy recovery by 15%.

The top-of-the-line S1 Pro+ offers a top speed of 141 km/h (5.3kWh variant) and a range of 320 km (IDC), while the S1 X+ (4kWh) model, targeted at budget-conscious consumers, is priced at ₹1,07,999. Ola will continue to sell its Gen 2 scooters with discounts of up to ₹35,000.

Ola also announced the upcoming rollout of MoveOS 5 beta in mid-February, featuring new functionalities like a smartwatch app and emergency SOS. The Gen 3 scooters come with a standard 3-year/40,000 km warranty, with an optional extended battery warranty available.

Separately, Ola recently revealed its Gig and S1 Z scooter series for personal and commercial use, with introductory prices starting at ₹39,999 and deliveries expected in April and May 2025.
