**NEW DELHI –** A devastating tragedy struck a family in Delhi on Saturday night when a groom-to-be perished in a car fire just hours after setting out to distribute wedding invitations. Anil, a resident of Nawada in Greater Noida, was found dead inside his completely charred Wagon R near Baba Banquet Hall in Ghazipur. He was scheduled to marry on February 14th.

According to police, Anil died at the scene from burns sustained in the blaze. His brother, Sumit, explained that after Anil failed to return home in the evening and his phone was switched off, the family received a late-night call from police informing them of the accident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Anil’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination.

The incident comes just weeks after a separate car fire in Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar area, allegedly caused by a neighbour over a parking dispute. In that case, Rahul Bhasin is accused of setting Ranjeet Chauhan’s car ablaze, an incident caught on CCTV. Police investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
