**Boston, MA –** Massachusetts saw a flurry of high-end real estate transactions in 2024, with several properties exceeding expectations. According to data from The Warren Group and The Boston Globe, the top twelve sales showcase a range of luxurious properties across the state.

Topping the list is Penthouse 2E at the Mandarin Oriental in Boston, fetching an undisclosed sum but easily the most expensive. This four-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom condo boasts 6,929 square feet of living space and stunning city views. Other Boston properties featured in the top twelve include a six-bedroom, eight-bathroom condo in the Seaport District, and a luxurious four-bedroom home in the Back Bay.

Nantucket also dominated the high-end market, with multiple properties making the list. A beachfront compound sold to the Nantucket Land Bank for future public use, while other significant sales included a 1.25-acre estate with water views and a 19-room new-build with guest cottage and pool.

Cape Cod also saw record-breaking sales, with a seven-bedroom, 14-bathroom home in Osterville achieving the highest price ever recorded for a residential property in Barnstable County. This sale highlights the continued demand for luxury properties in desirable coastal locations.

Surprisingly, Martha’s Vineyard, often associated with high-priced real estate, did not feature in the top twelve sales this year. The highest priced sale on Martha’s Vineyard was an eight-bedroom estate in Edgartown.
