**Mumbai, India** – Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is recovering in Lilavati Hospital after being stabbed six times during a home invasion at his Bandra residence early Thursday morning. Police have detained a suspect, believed to be connected to a member of Khan’s household staff, who may have facilitated the intruder’s entry.

The attack occurred around 2:30 am while Khan was home with his two young sons. He intervened when he heard a disturbance in his son Jeh’s room and confronted the intruder, who had reportedly attacked the nanny. The investigation is ongoing, with Mumbai Police deploying multiple teams to gather evidence and interview witnesses, including members of Khan’s household staff who are suspected of complicity. Police suspect the attacker may have used a service shaft to enter the building, exploiting a tear in a security net. The motive appears to be robbery, with the attacker reportedly demanding ₹1 crore (approximately $120,000 USD).

The incident has sparked outrage and concern, with political figures criticizing the law and order situation in Maharashtra. Fellow actors have expressed shock and wished Khan a speedy recovery.
