**Lucknow, UP:** Rumours of an engagement between Indian cricketer Rinku Singh and Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj have been circulating on social media. However, these reports have been strongly denied by Saroj’s father and MLA, Tufani Saroj.
In a telephone interview with ABP News, Tufani Saroj stated that while Rinku Singh’s family had contacted his family regarding a potential relationship between the two, no engagement has taken place. He clarified that discussions regarding a possible marriage had occurred, but the family is still carefully considering the matter. He emphasized that the engagement reports are inaccurate.
Priya Saroj, who won the Machhlishahr Lok Sabha seat in the 2024 elections on a Samajwadi Party ticket, is the daughter of three-time MP Tufani Saroj. The family’s denial comes as a response to the widespread social media speculation. The family has requested privacy while they consider the matter.
