**Rajkot, India** – The Indian Women’s Cricket team achieved a historic victory in the third and final ODI against Ireland in Rajkot today, winning by a record-breaking 304 runs. This is the largest margin of victory in terms of runs in the history of Women’s ODI cricket for India, surpassing their previous best of 249 runs against Ireland in Potchefstroom in 2017.
India, after winning the toss and electing to bat first, posted a mammoth 435/5 in their 50 overs. Pratima Rawal (154 off 129) and captain Smriti Mandhana (135 off 80) led the charge, with Richa Ghosh also contributing a quickfire 59. Orla Prendergast took two wickets for Ireland.
In response, Ireland were bowled out for a paltry 131 in 31.4 overs. Sara Forbes (41) and Orla Prendergast (36) were the only batters to offer any resistance against the Indian attack.
