**Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, January 16, 2025** – Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Chinta Mohan strongly condemned RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement linking Indian independence to the Ram temple’s construction, calling it historically inaccurate and misleading. In a press conference today, Dr. Mohan criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence on the issue and urged the Chief Justice of India to intervene to prevent further communal disharmony.

Dr. Mohan also expressed deep concern over the economic hardships faced by Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs). He highlighted the lack of SC millionaires in Prakasam district and criticized the Andhra Pradesh government’s single-member commission tasked with addressing these issues as ineffective. He further criticized the fragmentation of SC castes in India and the neglect of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) under the current government.

He accused Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan of failing to protect Andhra Pradesh’s interests, specifically citing concerns over the alleged conspiracy to sell 25,000 acres of land belonging to the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, valued at over ₹2.5 lakh crore. Dr. Mohan called for all political parties to unite to combat economic inequality and protect public assets.
