**Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand:** A bus accident in Pauri Garhwal district’s Srinagar area on Sunday resulted in six deaths and 22 injuries. The bus, carrying 28 passengers, veered off the road near Dahalchauri and plunged 100 meters into a gorge. Five passengers died at the scene, while one succumbed to injuries later.

Local residents assisted rescue efforts, with the injured being transported to Pauri district hospital. Eight individuals sustained critical injuries and were transferred to a higher health center in Srinagar. Pauri District Magistrate Ashish Chauhan oversaw the rescue operation and has ordered a Transport Department investigation into the cause of the accident. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his condolences and wished the injured a swift recovery.
