**Kochi, Kerala:** Bobby Chemmannur, a prominent businessman, was arrested Wednesday morning in Wayanad and subsequently brought to Kochi for questioning in connection with a sexual harassment complaint filed by actress Honey Rose. Police apprehended Chemmannur at his Wayanad farmhouse, preventing any potential attempts to evade arrest or seek pre-arrest bail. He was taken to the Ernakulam Central Police Station, where he maintained his innocence.
The arrest follows a complaint filed by Honey Rose under sections 75 of the Indian Penal Code and section 67 of the IT Act. Chemmannur was questioned by senior police officials following his arrest and the police have seized his mobile phone for forensic examination. He is expected to be produced in court on Thursday. Meanwhile, Honey Rose appeared in court Wednesday evening to give a secret statement to strengthen the prosecution’s case against Chemmannur.
Following the arrest, Honey Rose expressed her gratitude to the Kerala government, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, and the Kerala Police for their swift action in the case.
