**Mumbai, India** – Mahindra & Mahindra has finally announced the pricing and variants for its highly anticipated electric SUVs, the BE.6 and XUV.9e, entering a fiercely competitive EV market. The move aims to provide consumers with a clearer choice based on individual needs and budgets.
The BE.6 will be available in three packs: Pack 1, Pack 2, and Pack 3. The base Pack 1 starts at approximately ₹18.9 lakh. Pack 2 offers a 59 kWh battery with an ex-showroom price of approximately ₹20.40 lakh and a range of 556 km. Customers can also opt for a 79 kWh variant in this pack, priced around ₹21.90 lakh. The top-end Pack 3 features a 79 kWh battery, all the bells and whistles, and a range of approximately 682 km, costing approximately ₹26.9 lakh. The 79 kWh battery pack is only available in Pack 2 and Pack 3 for the BE.6.
The XUV.9e’s base specification, featuring a 59 kWh battery pack, is priced around ₹21.9 lakh. Pack 2 with a 59 kWh battery costs approximately ₹23.40 lakh, while the 79 kWh variant is priced at approximately ₹24.90 lakh. The top-of-the-line Pack 3 starts at ₹24.90 lakh for the 59 kWh battery and ₹30.50 lakh for the 79 kWh battery.
Pre-bookings for the top-spec 79 kWh variants of both models will begin on February 14, 2025, with bookings for other variants expected to commence in March. Mahindra is also launching test drive programs in major cities across India, starting with metropolitan areas like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad, followed by a second and third phase expanding to other cities.
Both the BE.6 and XUV.9e are built on Mahindra’s in-house developed INGLO platform and utilize a rear-mounted electric motor delivering a peak torque of approximately 380 Nm. Those interested in experiencing the vehicles firsthand can also wait for the Bharat Mobility Expo.
