HYDERABAD, January 6, 2025 – A long-awaited six-lane flyover connecting Aramghar and Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad is set to be inaugurated this evening by Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. The four-kilometer flyover, constructed under the Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP) at a cost of ₹799.74 crore, aims to alleviate significant traffic congestion in the area.
Originally planned for inauguration during December’s ‘Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu’ festival, the opening was postponed. The project’s completion is expected to greatly improve commutes for the approximately 2000 state-run and private buses that depart daily from the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Stop (MGBS). Simultaneously, the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone for additional underpasses and flyovers near KBR National Park in Jubilee Hills.
