Mon Jan 06 10:54:02 IST 2025: ## Delhi Reels Under Cold Snap, Light Rain, and Very Poor Air Quality
**New Delhi, January 6, 2025** – Delhi experienced a cold and foggy Monday, with light rainfall and a minimum temperature of 9.6 degrees Celsius, 2.7 degrees above the normal for this time of year. While the fog thinned, improving visibility compared to the weekend’s dense fog which caused flight cancellations and train delays, a yellow warning for dense fog remains in effect. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 18 degrees Celsius.
Air quality remains a concern, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) at 320 (very poor) as of 9 a.m. While stage 3 restrictions under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) were revoked on Sunday due to improved wind speeds and reduced pollution, stage 1 and 2 restrictions remain in place. The improved conditions followed a weekend of near-zero visibility due to dense fog.
