**Colombo, Sri Lanka –** Sri Lanka’s dominance in One Day International (ODI) cricket in 2024 has been underscored by a remarkable feat: three of its players topping the run-scoring charts. Kusal Mendis leads the pack with an impressive 742 runs across 17 matches, maintaining a strike rate of 90.59. Close behind are his teammates Pathum Nissanka (694 runs in 12 ODIs) and captain Charith Asalanka (605 runs in 18 ODIs).

The year also saw strong performances from international players outside of Sri Lanka. Keacy Carter of the West Indies secured fourth place with 560 runs in 12 matches, boasting a remarkable average of 88.05. Harsh Taker of Canada contributed 535 runs across 15 ODIs, and Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz rounded out the top six with 531 runs in just 11 matches, achieving an impressive average of 89.69.
