The party accused Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of breaking his electoral promise not to increase power bills, citing a ₹15,485.36 crore burden imposed on domestic consumers.

Protests took place in various districts, including Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, and Konaseema, with rallies culminating at local electricity offices. Memorandums demanding a rollback of the price increases were submitted to authorities.

YSRCP leaders, including Devineni Avinash, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, Darsi MLA B. Siva Prasad Reddy, and former Minister Ambati Rambabu, voiced strong criticism of the government’s actions. They highlighted the undue burden on consumers and emphasized the party’s commitment to supporting the people.
