The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for today, warning of heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and even hail.
The downpour is attributed to an active western disturbance. The IMD forecasts generally cloudy skies with light to moderate rain throughout the day, accompanied by strong winds. The orange alert urges residents to exercise caution.
The inclement weather is expected to continue into Saturday, with the IMD issuing a yellow alert for that day, predicting strong winds and rain. Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 19°C and a low of 12°C.
While some relief is anticipated from rain on Sunday, dense fog is predicted, prompting another yellow alert. The minimum temperature is expected to drop further to 8°C, with a high of 21°C.
