**BULAWAYO, ZIMBABWE –** Zimbabwe and Afghanistan are set to clash in the first Test of the Afghanistan tour of Zimbabwe, beginning December 26th at 1:30 PM local time at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. Zimbabwe won the toss and opted to bat first.

Early scores saw Ben Curran reach 12 runs before Joylord Gumbie joined him at the crease. The Afghan bowling attack, featuring Azmatullah Omarzai and Naveed Zadran, made early inroads, keeping the Zimbabwean batsmen under pressure. Curran however managed a boundary with a beautiful drive past mid-off.
