**Chennai, December 26, 2024** – Renowned mridangam vidwan Thepperumanallur Varadharajan, 88, received the prestigious Sangeet Sagar Award on Wednesday. The award ceremony was part of the inauguration of the 20th Margazhi Isai Vizha, organized by the Sangeeth Sagar Cultural Trust at Sri Ramakrishna Matriculation Higher Secondary School in T. Nagar. Several dignitaries attended the event, including V. Natarajan, Chairman of Paavai Institutions, and former presidents of the Federation of North American Tamil Sangams, Caldwel Velnambi and Bala Swaminathan.
