Wed Dec 25 08:50:14 UTC 2024: **Former Indian Cricketer Vinod Kambli’s Health Improves After Hospitalization**
Thane, Maharashtra – Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli, who was hospitalized a few days ago due to a urinary tract infection, is recovering well, according to his doctors. While receiving treatment, Kambli developed a fever, but his condition is now stable. He is currently in the ICU of a private hospital in Thane district. Doctors have postponed an MRI scan due to the fever but plan to conduct it once his condition improves further. Previous tests revealed a blood clot in Kambli’s brain, necessitating the MRI. Doctors expect to move Kambli from the ICU to a general ward within a day or two, with discharge anticipated in four days.
Initially, Kambli’s condition was described as critical due to the severity of the infection. However, the infection has significantly subsided.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his son, MP Shrikant Shinde, have offered support to Kambli. Shinde’s OSD, Mangesh Chivate, visited the hospital to inquire about Kambli’s health and ensure he receives the best possible medical care. Shrikant Shinde has also announced a financial assistance of ₹5 lakh for Kambli and pledged further aid to his family.
