**Aktau, Kazakhstan –** A passenger’s chilling video footage has emerged, documenting the final moments of an Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer 190 plane before it crashed near Aktau, Kazakhstan, today. The video, widely circulated on social media, shows a steep descent, passengers screaming, and oxygen masks deployed as the aircraft plummeted toward the ground. One passenger is heard uttering “Allahu Akbar” (God is great).
The plane, en route from Baku, Azerbaijan, to Grozny, Chechnya, was forced to make an emergency landing approximately 3 kilometers from Aktau, an oil and gas hub on the Caspian Sea. A second video, taken after the crash, shows the plane’s interior upside down, with passengers crying for help and visible bloodstains.
The accident resulted in 35 fatalities, while 32 passengers survived. Azerbaijan Airlines confirmed the emergency landing and is cooperating with authorities in the ongoing investigation. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
