**Vellore, Tamil Nadu, December 21, 2024** – Governor R.N. Ravi led a mass outreach program, SPARSH, in Vellore on Saturday, aimed at assisting over 2100 defense pensioners and their families. The event, a collaboration between the Controller of Defence Accounts (Chennai), the Indian Army’s Dakshin Bharat Area, and the Vellore District Ex-Servicemen Welfare Board, was held at the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT).
Governor Ravi presented cheques to beneficiaries and honored Chakra awardees and veteran defense personnel. He addressed the gathering, emphasizing Vellore’s contribution to India’s freedom struggle and highlighting the Indian Armed Forces’ role in nation-building and humanitarian efforts. The program facilitated the swift resolution of pensioners’ grievances.
