**Hyderabad, December 21, 2024** – Telugu actor Allu Arjun addressed allegations of misconduct following a stampede at a Hyderabad cinema screening of his film *Pushpa 2*, which resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman and injuries to her eight-year-old son. In a press conference, Arjun, accompanied by his father and lawyer, refuted claims of irresponsible behaviour, calling the accusations “character assassination” and the incident an “unfortunate accident.”
Arjun stated he was unaware of the lack of permission for his appearance outside the Sandhya 70 MM cinema hall and only intended to wave to fans to help disperse the crowd. He maintains he acted with positive intentions and received hourly updates on the child’s condition, expressing condolences to the family. The actor clarified that he learned of the fatality and child’s hospitalization only the day after the event and that his team advised against a hospital visit due to a filed police case, deeming it inappropriate under the circumstances.
