**VIJAYAWADA, Andhra Pradesh (December 22, 2024)** – Andhra Pradesh is accelerating its transformation into a technological powerhouse, according to M. Mohan Krishna, Chairman of Andhra Pradesh Technology Services. Speaking at the valedictory session of a two-day research scholar summit at SRM University-AP, Krishna stated that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is spearheading this initiative. A key component is the planned launch of 153 government services via WhatsApp, showcasing the state’s commitment to leveraging technology for improved governance.

The summit, which drew representatives from 27 universities across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, featured 243 research abstracts covering diverse fields including engineering, medicine, life sciences, agriculture, and social sciences. SRM University-AP Vice-Chancellor Manoj K. Arora encouraged participants to utilize their research to address societal challenges. The university itself celebrated its seven-and-a-half-year anniversary, highlighting its growing presence in the scientific community. The summit concluded with the awarding of 18 gold medals and 14 silver medals for outstanding research papers.
