**Hyderabad, December 21, 2024** – The Prof. Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) concluded its two-day diamond jubilee celebrations on December 20th. Governor and Chancellor Jishnu Dev Varma urged the university to integrate advanced technologies like artificial intelligence, robotics, and renewable energy into its agricultural programs to address challenges posed by climate change.

Varma praised the university’s recent establishment of an AI lab and efforts to make agricultural education more affordable. Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao highlighted the government’s commitment to farmer welfare through initiatives such as loan waivers and insurance programs, urging scientists to provide farmers with guidance on suitable crops and technologies in the face of climate change.

Vice-Chancellor Aldas Janaiah announced that the university has produced 32,000 agricultural graduates over the past 60 years. The celebrations highlighted the university’s commitment to innovation and its crucial role in supporting Telangana’s agricultural sector.
