**NEW DELHI** – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has called upon its affiliated schools to assist the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) in conducting its April/May 2025 examinations. CBSE schools interested in participating have until January 2, 2025, to register their consent through the NIOS portal.

NIOS, India’s largest open and distance learning system, holds public examinations twice yearly for secondary (10th), senior secondary (12th), and vocational courses. The CBSE notification highlights the crucial role CBSE schools play in facilitating these exams, leveraging their infrastructure and resources.
