Thu Dec 19 18:22:46 UTC 2024: ## Kia Unveils Feature-Packed Syros Sub-4 Meter SUV in India

**Mumbai, India – December 19, 2025** – Kia has officially launched its highly anticipated Syros, a sub-4 meter SUV aiming to disrupt the Indian market. Positioned between the Sonet and Seltos models, the Syros boasts a unique boxy design, high ground clearance, and a surprisingly spacious interior.

The Syros’s standout feature is its segment-first slidable and reclining second-row seats, complemented by ventilated seats in both rows – a first for sub-4 meter SUVs. Safety is paramount, with Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) including forward collision avoidance, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and blind spot monitoring, as well as over 20 standard safety features.

Luxury features abound, including a new aircraft-style gear shifter, push-button start/stop, a two-spoke steering wheel with integrated controls, wireless charging, and a panoramic sunroof. The infotainment system is expected to feature a large, possibly 12.3-inch, touchscreen paired with a digital driver’s display.

Despite its compact exterior (3,995mm length, 1,800mm width, 1,665mm height, 2,550mm wheelbase), the Syros offers a surprisingly large 465-liter boot – exceeding even some larger SUVs.

Powertrain options are expected to include a 1.0L turbo petrol engine with a manual gearbox, though further engine options may be available. Kia Connect 2.0 with over-the-air updates is also included.

Bookings for the Syros open January 3, 2025, with deliveries commencing in February. Pricing will be revealed on January 17, 2025, at the Bharat Mobility Show, and is expected to fall between ₹8.5 lakh and ₹15 lakh. The Syros will compete directly with models like the Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, and Mahindra XUV300. Kia aims to offer a premium lifestyle SUV experience that sets a new benchmark in the sub-4 meter segment.
