**Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 20, 2024** – The 63rd Kerala State Youth Festival, commencing January 4th, 2025, will feature five tribal dance forms for the first time, announced General Education Minister V. Sivankutty. The four-day festival, expected to draw 10,000 participants, will include Mangalam Kali, Paniya Nritham, Malaya Pulaya Aatam, and Irula Nritham, alongside traditional and Arabic/Sanskrit art forms. Competitions will span 249 performance arts across 25 venues in Thiruvananthapuram, each named after a river to avoid naming disputes. Thirty schools will provide accommodation for participants and their families. A large-scale community kitchen will cater to all attendees. Minister Sivankutty stressed the importance of punctuality, warning of disqualifications for late entries. Dance competitions will be the main attraction, held at prominent venues including the Central Stadium and Tagore Theatre.
