**New Delhi, [Date]:** Delhi’s air quality has deteriorated significantly, reaching “severe” levels as wind speed decreased and direction changed. The Air Quality Index (AQI) soared to 379 on Monday, an increase of 84 points from Sunday and the highest reading this month. This drastic dip in air quality is causing respiratory problems and eye irritation for residents, compounding the effects of the recent drop in temperature.
The deteriorating air quality has prompted authorities to implement Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) 3 measures. Schools and colleges in Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Budh Nagar will now operate on a hybrid model for classes up to the fifth standard.
