CHENNAI, INDIA (December 14, 2024) – Renowned Carnatic vocalists Ranjani and Gayatri, and Bharatnatyam exponent Geeta Chandran were awarded prestigious accolades at the 68th Margazhi mela, held by the Sri Krishna Gana Sabha on Friday. Ranjani and Gayatri received the Sangeetha Choodamani award, while Geeta Chandran was bestowed with the Nrithya Choodamani award.

Nalli Kuppusamy Chetty, president of the Sabha, highlighted the singers’ remarkable ability to perform in Gujarati, Marathi, and Sanskrit.
