**New Delhi, December 14, 2024** – The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) announced a partnership with Wipro GE Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. to establish a cutting-edge AI Health Innovations Hub. The collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to revolutionize healthcare delivery in India.
Wipro GE Healthcare will invest approximately $1 million over the next five years to develop and deploy AI-powered solutions focused on cardiology, oncology, and neurology. AIIMS will provide clinical expertise and a real-world setting for testing and validation of these technologies. The hub will concentrate on improving diagnostic precision, treatment protocols, and real-time patient data monitoring.
The joint venture will involve a collaborative working committee overseeing clinical research and academic engagement. AIIMS Director M. Srinivas stated that this partnership aligns with the national vision of “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) by leveraging advanced healthcare technologies to improve patient care. The initiative is expected to accelerate the development and implementation of advanced medical technologies in India.
