Mon Dec 09 14:20:00 UTC 2024: ## UPSC Declares Civil Services Mains Exam Results; Interview Round to Begin

**New Delhi, [Date of Publication]:** The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024 Mains examination. Candidates can check their results on the official website, upsc.gov.in. Those who cleared the Mains will now proceed to the interview round.

Candidates who passed the Mains exam are required to fill out a Detailed Application Form (DAF) between December 13th and 19th. The interviews will be conducted by the UPSC in Delhi, with dates to be announced shortly on the official website. Candidates facing difficulties downloading their e-summon letters are advised to contact the UPSC office via letter or phone at 011-23385271, 011-23381125, or 011-23098543. They can also contact via fax (011-23387310, 011-23384472) or email (csm-upsc@nic.in). No paper summons will be sent by post.

Marksheets will be uploaded to the UPSC website within 15 days of the final results announcement and will remain available for 30 days.

A total of 1056 positions are up for grabs this year, including the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Administrative Service (IAS), and Indian Police Service (IPS). 40 seats are reserved for candidates with disabilities, including 6 for blindness/low vision, 12 for deafness/low hearing, 9 for locomotor disabilities (including cerebral palsy, leprosy, dwarfism, acid attack victims, and muscular dystrophy), and 13 for multiple disabilities (including deaf-blindness).

The preliminary examination was held on June 16th, 2024, following the notification released on February 14th, 2024 (application deadline: March 5th, 2024). The preliminary exam was originally scheduled for May 26th but was postponed due to the Lok Sabha elections. The Mains examination was conducted from September 20th to 29th, 2024. The UPSC CSE exam consists of three stages: preliminary, mains, and interview.
