**Bengaluru, December 10, 2024** – Bengaluru’s Cybercrime police have registered a case against unidentified individuals for defrauding Myntra Designs Private Limited of ₹1.08 crore through a sophisticated return policy scam. The complaint, filed by a Myntra enforcement officer, alleges that over 5,000 fraudulent refund claims were processed between March and June 2024. Despite successful delivery of apparel and shoes, customers used fake bills to justify refunds, which were then transferred to online accounts. The fraud was uncovered during a company audit. This incident follows a similar case where three individuals were arrested for defrauding Meesho of ₹5.5 crore using a similar tactic. Police have launched an investigation into the Myntra case.
