**Hubballi, Karnataka, December 9, 2024** – The Karnataka Lingayat Education Technological University (KLETU) in Hubballi will serve as a nodal center for the Smart India Hackathon 2024, scheduled for December 11-15. The event, hosted at the School of Electronics and Communication Engineering on the BVB Campus, will see 30 teams—comprising 180 student participants—working on innovative projects under the guidance of over 50 expert mentors.
KLETU will be one of 13 Hardware Edition and 38 Software Edition nodal centers across India. The Smart India Hackathon, now in its seventh year, bills itself as the world’s largest open innovation platform. This year’s edition will focus on 17 themes, including smart automation, agriculture, food technology, rural development, smart vehicles, transportation and logistics, robotics, drones, and space technology. The initiative, launched in 2017 with the motto “No problem is too big… No idea is too small,” continues to foster technological innovation among students nationwide.
