**New Delhi:** A significant incident unfolded during the winter session of the Indian Parliament. Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar announced the discovery of a large sum of cash near the seat of MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi.
According to Dhankhar, security personnel found the wad of 500 rupee notes during routine post-adjournment security checks on Thursday. The cash was located at seat number 222, currently assigned to Singhvi, a member of parliament representing Telangana.
Dhankhar has ordered an investigation into the matter. The Congress party, to which Singhvi belongs, has expressed concern over the incident, with Mallikarjun Kharge reportedly objecting to the mention of Singhvi’s name in connection with the discovery.
