**Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh:** A gas leak at the Thagur Pharma company in Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City, Parawada, Anakapalli district, has resulted in one death and the hospitalization of at least eight others. The incident occurred late last night, with company officials initially attempting to conceal the accident. Nine workers were affected by the leaked toxic gas, and two remain in critical condition at KIMS Icon Hospital in Sheelanagar.
The company management has refused to comment on the specifics of the incident or the nature of the leaked gas, though reports suggest it involved hydrochloric acid. One worker, identified as being from Odisha, died during treatment.
