Chandigarh, December 6 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today paid tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on Mahaparinirvan Diwas, highlighting his contribution to the Indian Constitution and its guarantee of equal rights for all citizens. Saini emphasized Ambedkar’s enduring legacy of social reform and his continued relevance in contemporary India. The Chief Minister also marked Armed Forces Flag Day, contributing to the fund and urging citizens to do the same to support the welfare of servicemen and their families. The Haryana government, Saini stated, remains committed to the well-being of ex-servicemen and martyrs’ dependents.
In other developments, Saini met with a Tanzanian delegation seeking collaboration in IT skill training and sports development. The Chief Minister pledged support, offering Haryana’s skill training centers and sports coaches to aid Tanzania’s initiatives. The Tanzanian delegation also expressed interest in Haryana’s mining and gemstone industries.
Furthermore, Saini approved ₹4549.19 lakh for infrastructure projects in Barwala, Kaithal, and Kalanwali, focusing on sewerage improvements and road restoration. A separate HPPC and HPWPC meeting chaired by the Chief Minister approved the addition of 650 new buses to the Haryana Roadways fleet, the establishment of ICT labs in 801 government schools, and various other infrastructure and procurement projects totaling ₹1329 crore. Significant cost savings of ₹38 crore were achieved through negotiations. The appointment of Sahil Gupta as Mela Administrator for the 38th Surajkund International Crafts Mela was also announced. Finally, the deadline for the Haryana Good Governance Award Scheme was extended to December 10th, and the launch of a 100-day campaign to eliminate TB in Haryana, spearheaded by Union Health Minister JP Nadda, was announced.
