HYDERABAD: Burra Venkatesham, the newly appointed Chairman of the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC), has pledged to restore public trust in the commission. Addressing the media after assuming his post in Nampally, Venkatesham stated that he aims to expedite the recruitment process, making it transparent and efficient. He promised timely job notifications and a quicker, more transparent recruitment process. He urged candidates to have faith in the commission and participate actively in the examinations.

Venkatesham, hailing from a humble background in Janagama district, detailed his impressive career path, including his service as a District Collector and his role in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Committee. He explained his decision to forgo a 3.5 year IAS career to take on the TGPSC Chairmanship, stating his commitment to serving unemployed candidates. His background includes a degree in Law from Osmania University and an IAS selection in 1995. He also noted that achieving an IAS position was a lifelong ambition.
