**Hyderabad, India** – The highly anticipated Telugu action thriller, *Pushpa 2: The Rule*, starring Allu Arjun, will be released worldwide across over 12,000 screens but initially only in 2D. While the film was shot in 3D, the post-production work for the 3D version is yet to be completed, according to film analyst Tarun Adarsh.

The film’s producers had announced a seven-format release (IMAX, Dolby, D-box, 4DX, ICE, 2D, and 3D) in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Bengali. While the 2D version is nearly ready for release, those who have already booked 3D tickets may find their screenings canceled or replaced with 2D showings. The 3D version’s release date is currently undetermined.

Despite the 3D delay, *Pushpa 2* ticket bookings opened on BookMyShow and sold out rapidly, setting a new record for fastest million tickets sold. The film’s popularity is particularly strong in North India. The Sukumar-directed film is currently undergoing final checks, with the team working to complete any minor changes before the release.
