Wed Dec 04 02:10:00 UTC 2024: ## Hawaii Weather: Mostly Sunny, Slight Rain Chance This Week, Weekend Uncertainty

HONOLULU, HI (October 26, 2023) – Hawaii can expect mostly sunny skies and isolated light showers throughout the week, according to the latest forecast from Kauai Now Weather. Highs will range from the low 70s in higher elevations to the mid-80s near the shore. Low temperatures will be in the 60s and 70s.

A 20-30% chance of rain is predicted for today and Tuesday, primarily in the morning. Light winds are expected, with sea breezes developing in the afternoons and land breezes at night. These conditions will be driven by a high-pressure ridge to the northeast.

While the beginning of the week looks relatively dry and stable, a cold front is expected to approach from the northwest late Wednesday into Thursday. This front may bring increased rain chances, especially across the western islands, and moderate to breezy northeast winds.

However, the forecast for the weekend remains uncertain, with significant differences between weather models. One model predicts a strong cold front bringing gusty winds and increased rain, while another shows a slower moving, less impactful system. More clarity is expected as the week progresses.

Surf will remain elevated along north and west facing shores through the week, with potentially advisory level swells Tuesday. A small south swell will peak today, then decline.

Fire weather conditions are not anticipated this week due to light winds and increasing moisture later in the week.
