Wed Dec 04 14:49:58 UTC 2024: ## BJP Slams Former J&K CMs for Alleged Divisive Politics
**Jammu:** BJP spokesperson Dr. Abhijeet Jasrotia launched a scathing attack on former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Ministers Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, accusing them of divisive politics and failing to uphold secular values during critical junctures in the state’s history.
Jasrotia highlighted the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in the early 1990s and the 2003 Nadimarg massacre, alleging that the leaders prioritized political gain over justice and failed to protect innocent lives. He stated that the leadership remained silent during these dark chapters, allowing the rights and safety of minorities to be trampled upon.
He further questioned Mufti’s refusal to comply with High Court orders during the 2008 Amarnath land dispute and the subsequent unrest. Jasrotia criticized their brand of secularism as ignoring the plight of those affected by their policies.
In contrast, Jasrotia lauded the BJP-led government’s “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” initiative, claiming it has brought inclusive development benefiting all communities equally. He cited examples such as poverty alleviation and equal benefits for all citizens, regardless of religion.
Jasrotia urged the public to reject divisive politics and recognize those genuinely working for peace, harmony, and development in the region.
